Poem for Mother
I’m a blind witness
To all you have gone through
Each dawn greeted with gladness
Each dusk brought a handful of sacrifices.
You will always be
The tireless and dependable nanny
Often I’ve seen you got angry
But flashed a smile whenever you hear, “Sorry, Mommy”.
I sometimes cried
Seeing your sad flight
Your old body aching and tired
Only a lil’ prayer I can say each night.
But Mum, please slow down
You have done us a lot
Sharing a hand to everyone
Forgetting, you too have a life to think about.
So, on this very special day
I say “ I Love You”
You have guided us in our way
And I’m so very grateful to have you.
I’m a blind witness
To all you have gone through
Each dawn greeted with gladness
Each dusk brought a handful of sacrifices.
You will always be
The tireless and dependable nanny
Often I’ve seen you got angry
But flashed a smile whenever you hear, “Sorry, Mommy”.
I sometimes cried
Seeing your sad flight
Your old body aching and tired
Only a lil’ prayer I can say each night.
But Mum, please slow down
You have done us a lot
Sharing a hand to everyone
Forgetting, you too have a life to think about.
So, on this very special day
I say “ I Love You”
You have guided us in our way
And I’m so very grateful to have you.
